H is for Hero's Heart

He was a hero and fought bravely in the war.  When the darkness came and his time ended, he died knowing he gave his life for freedom.  Heaven was waiting.  The only regret he had was not being able to live a lifetime with his beloved.  He hoped she would remember him.
His beloved had nothing left of her soldier.  She walked this earth alone.  Until one day, a package came, sent long before his sacrifice.  Inside it, he had sent her a necklace.  A gold heart hung from a chain.  A note read, You will always have my heart.
